John M. Atwebembeire, Makerere University

A cross sectional survey using a sample of 187 women and 10 key informats investigated access to and utilization of Reproductive health services by rural women with disabilities in uganda. Access to and utilization of reproductive health services increased with age and education. married women accessed and utilized reproductive health services more than those who were not married. Women who used relatives as a source of information regarding reproductive health used these services more than those who used other sources. stigma agaisnt women with disabilities is a big challenge to their utilization of services. Men want to take advantage of them and have sex with them at night but do not want to identify with them. Awareness regarding health services needs to be scaled up among women with disabilities.
